Mark founded LEADERSHIP SERVICES, Ltd. in 1986, and as a leadership coach
and consultant, he specializes in Executive Coaching, Organizational and Team Development Consulting,
Executive Assessment, Selection Testing, and Performance Improvement Workshops. Mark has shaped
his career by combining his entrepreneurial spirit with a background in line management, human resources,
management training and organizational development with Fortune 500 Companies.
During the past 18 years Mark has built lasting relationships with top management as an external partner
on organizational health and change issues which include culture and training needs assessment, one-on-one
coaching, and leadership training. Mark holds a B.S. in Human Relations and Organizational Behavior from
the University of San Francisco, an Organizational Consulting Certification, and continuous learning in human
behavior. Prior to 1986 Mark held Line and Human Resource Management positions with Commerce Clearing House,
Ingersoll-Rand, and Baker Hughes Oil Tools. Additionally, he has conducted hundreds of workshops and presentations
throughout North America on leadership, performance accountability, and teamwork.
Mark is a Volunteer President of Professional in Human Resources Association (PIHRA)
which is the largest association of local human resource professionals in the United States exceeding 5,000
members. He also leads the LSL team that includes consultants selected for their special education and industry
backgrounds in service, high-tech, manufacturing, and education with degrees in Engineering and PhD~Rs in
Psychology, Communications, and Public Relations.

Bill Terry has been involved in a wide variety of professional, business and non-profit activities over the past 25 years.
He has worked as an engineer, manager, director, and vice-president for large Fortune 500 companies as well as smaller companies.
He has served in the military, is a frequent motivational speaker and has been a professional and executive coach for the past 17 years.
Bill earned his BSME from the University of Rhode Island.
He is a registered Professional Engineer and received his TQM and OD consulting training under world-renowned management consultants
Dr. W. Edwards Deming, Dr. Joseph M. Juran and Phil Crosby, before beginning his private practice.
He has written numerous articles for trade journals on subjects such as Speaking in Public, High Performing Teams and Excellence in Leadership.
As an Executive and Life Coach, Bill has worked with executives from: Kimberly-Clark, Clorox, Johnson & Johnson, Wells Fargo, Avery, MBIA, Mondavi,
Beringer, and more. He.s coached physicians, attorneys, public school administrators, coaches, ministers, and other professionals.
Bill has also traveled extensively to over 15 countries and has lived overseas. He has presented to hundreds of groups in the US, Canada and Europe.
He has developed and delivered a variety of leadership and team-oriented training programs over the last 25 years and is now focusing his talents and gifts for helping others through coaching and mentoring.
Bill lives in the beautiful Ojai Valley of Southern California with his wife of 17 years and their birds, horses and pets on a picturesque landscape that includes ancient oak trees, a barn, pastures and a small cabernet vineyard. He enjoys working in the garden and vineyard, horseback riding, swimming, and playing golf with friends and clients.
Bill utilizes a coaching and mentoring process that focuses on achieving mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical balance.

Deborah
brings 22 years of experience in business management and marketing to her work as an executive coach
and organizational consultant. She guides leaders to produce outstanding results as they transform their
organizations. Deborah specializes in executive coaching, organizational design and consulting, high
performance team development, strategic planning, communication training, and conflict resolution.
She has worked with individuals and teams in corporations, start-ups and non-profits including Charles Schwab,
OFOTO – a division of Kodak, The Wall Street Journal Online, Avery Dennison, Cure Autism Now, UCSB
Alumni Association, Bay Area Video Coalition, The Flavia Company, and FoxSports.com.
Prior to her move to consulting, Deborah spent 15 years working in corporations. Her positions included
being President/CEO of Flavia Group, Inc., a privately held greeting card publishing and international
licensing company in Santa Barbara and EVP of Marketing at YES! Entertainment, a start-up children’s
toy company in Pleasanton, CA. She also held marketing management positions at The Walt Disney Company
and at The Clorox Company. In January 1997, Santa Barbara Business Digest named Ms. Naish, Business
Person of the Year.
Deborah received her MBA from Northwestern University in 1983. She has taught for the Masters in Organization
Management for Fielding Graduate Institute and at UCSB in the Marketing Program.

Alan has more than 15 years experience as a leadership communication consultant. He specializes in providing leaders with effective strategies and services to improve their communication performance
and results. He is adept at: assessing leadership communication needs and improvement opportunities; developing communication plans and strategies for the overall organization, departments, and
individual leaders; coaching and training leaders to enhance their interpersonal and organizational communication skills; and designing and delivering communication
vehicles and messages using
a variety of channels.
Alan has a Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from Michigan State University, an M.A. in Public Relations from Pepperdine University, and a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Oregon.
He has published conference papers and a book chapter on effective communication. His professional experience includes working as: a marketing consultant for Ernst & Young; a communication
change management consultant for Towers Perrin and Hewitt Associates; and a process improvement consultant at Rockwell International. He has provided communication assessment strategies and services
to leaders in companies of all sizes, including Wells Fargo Bank, ChevronTexaco, Clorox Corporation, and The Disney Company. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Orange County
Chapter of IABC (International Association of Business Communicators).
Throughout his career, Alan’s philosophy has been that good communication is essential to successful leadership. Effective communication assists leaders to attain their vision, mission,
values, and goals; expand their leadership influence; and meet the communication needs of their key stakeholders.

Scott has been a licensed psychologist since 1989, with a specialization in Industrial and Organizational
Psychology. He has taught in the APA-Accredited Counseling Psychology Program at the University of Southern
California and the University of California Santa Barbara. He specializes in research and survey
design, clinical, vocational, and employee satisfaction assessment, and clinical and employee supervision.
Scott also serves as a consultant for Robert T. Dorris and Associates, for whom he conducts fitness-for-duty
and potential for violence assessments for their corporate customers.
Scott has an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of California Santa Barbara,
and a B.A. in Psychology from Stanford University.

Jim
brings a unique perspective to leadership development and training. Originally from New Zealand, he studied
English literature and political science at the University of Auckland, served as an army officer with New
Zealand forces in Vietnam, and is an honors graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic.
For more than twenty years, Jim’s focus has been on personal transformation, conflict resolution,
stress management, and peak performance. He is the author of three books, the most recent being
The Way of Harmony: Walking the Inner Path to Balance, Happiness, and Success (Avon,
1999). This book has been widely acclaimed for its practical approach to achieving personal mastery while
dealing with the challenges of the marketplace and everyday living.
Jim is an expert at guiding individuals back to the source of clarity, wisdom, and the creative power within
them, which he sees as the key to both individual and organizational transformation. He has facilitated over
two hundred professional seminars and workshops, including teaching at the world-renowned Esalen Institute
in Big Sur, California. |
