Building a High Performance Team Using Emotional Intelligence

Overview

When undertaking any team-related project, it is essential to understand the factors that lead not only to the success or failure of the team, but also what will keep the team thriving; working well together and maintaining accountability beyond the current project and into future charges. This workshop explores how Emotional Intelligence is necessary for an efficient, effective and satisfied team. Team dynamics are derailed when communication is stifled and team members act out their thoughts and feelings rather than communicate appropriately. When team members understand the distinction between the expression of their thoughts and feelings and the expression of what will get them the best result in the situation (whether it be an interpersonal issue or how to attack a business problem), teams become healthy and productive. This workshop also features options of the Managing by Strengths survey and a behavioral style assessment, both which increase the value of the work done in the training.
